Diet culture and mixed nutritional messages run rampant in today’s culture. It’s hard to know who to trust, and it can be challenging to decipher what is fact versus fiction. Working with a Certified Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) means your nutritional needs are in the hands of someone who understands that each person is unique and has bio-individual needs. With 8 years of clinical experience, I have worked with patients with all types of health challenges. You won’t hear about low-calorie fad diets or quick fixes. Instead, you’ll learn about how food can support your health goals.
During our time together, we will examine why your current diet or lifestyle isn’t getting you the results you desire. We will assess food knowledge deficits or mixed messages you may have heard. It’s also important that we examine the barriers you face. This may include lifestyle behaviors, your emotional/mental relationship with food, logistics, finances, etc. Together, we will work to formulate a nutrition plan to support your needs. Your plan will consist of feasible, sustainable steps to help you reach your goal. Each follow-up is a chance for you to share what worked well and which areas you struggled in. We will continue to meet until you reach your desired goal.
